TEDxTaipei is not just a series of talks and performances.
It’s where great ideas happen.
“Ideas worth spreading” is the core essence of TED and TEDx. In TEDxTaipei, we deeply believe that every single participant, speakers and attendees alike, is a “Change Maker”, with the ability to share and inspire others. This year, TEDxTaipei is doing something a little different from the normal two-day TED-style conferences. To assist with the continuous flow of great ideas in this annual event, we have created a social environment where event attendees can proactively engage with speakers and other audience members. Introducing the new “Idea Space”, where change makers can freely collaborate with one another.
“Idea Space” is divided into the following areas: Second Stage, Speaker’s Design Challenge, Concept Space, and Social Lounge.
Second stage is an area for TEDxTaipei speakers to conduct their backstage interviews after their talks on the TEDx stage. A facilitator will be conducting the Q&A session. Questions from both the attendees and online viewers may be asked here.
Speaker Design Challenge Topics
Here is a space where participants collectively brainstorm for answers to design problems raised by our TEDxTaipei speakers. Speakers who raised these questions may help facilitate these design problem discussion topics. All change makers and thought leaders are welcome to join these mini think-tank sessions.
Creations, inventions, and traditional artworks that are key to this year’s annual conference will be showcased in concept space.
Social Lounge serves as a rest stop for those who may want to take a short break from the live TEDxTaipei sessions. It’s a great area where attendees can mingle with others.
